Of no particular consequence to me at the time, in hindsight this was the last time I’d see a show at Human Flesh Body World. It was also the 4th birthday of the house. From the Facebook event:

leave your existential dread at the door. the basement will be warm with body heat. the firepit will be recommissioned. the lights will be low and these touring acts really strike me as the strobe-light-and-fog-machine type, so you can get lost in the shroud for a few hours and feel contented. donate or don’t, it doesn’t matter. we’ll see you there. you really have no choice. the magnetic force pulling you to the diy show is too strong. the diy show is the light and you are the moth, entranced.
