MSHR

MSHR is the artistic project of Brenna Murphy and Birch Cooper. Fitting under the broad umbrella of experimental music, their live performances feature the use of custom-made electronic instruments such as the forest synth, composite eye controller, and drift scanner that incorporate light and physical touch beyond mere button-pressing. MSHR’s wonderful website includes extensive information about the group and their performances as well as installation pieces and more! They frequently perform in near or total darkness, so I’m not always able to take photos of their live sets.
