Are you a person or party animal who likes corn? Have you ever wanted to attend a corn convention to meet other like-minded corn likers? CornCon is Portland’s Premiere Corn Convention, coming Saturday, August 5th to Human Flesh Body World! Enjoy a myriad of Corn-Based Activities! Here’s the official schedule of events:

4pm: Learning about Corn, with presentations from Darius Kazemi and Pamela K. Santos

5pm: Corn Horror Film Fest, hosted by Elizabeth Teets

5pm: Canned Corn Eating Contest – register to compete and WIN by messaging the CornCon Facebook page!

5:30pm: Radical Meditation with Corn, led by Carlos the Rollerblader

6pm: The Mazzy Show – Cooking Hurricane Popcorn with Mazzy!

8pm: Cornedy: The Corn Con Comedy Show, with performances from Barbara Holm, Brandon Lyons, Carlos the Rollerblader, Iris Jean Gorman, Jay Shingle, Jennifer Garcia, Katie Nguyen, Lewis Sequeira, Manny of #mannycrushmonday, Milan Patel, Robbie Pankow, Whitney Streed

11pm: Corn, the Korn Cover Band

PLUS Corn Face Painting by Iris Jean Gorman, Corn Hole, Corn Photo Booth, hot jamz from DJ Frito Lazy, and CORN (elotes anyone?) ALL DAY LONG!!

Unfortunately I left after the canned corn eating contest (to attend a high school reunion) so I missed the radical meditation and The Mazzy Show, but I made it back for stand-up cornedy with Milan Patel, Jen and Rinna, Katie Nguyen, Barbara Holm, Manny, and Carlos the Rollerblader; and CoRn, the KoRn Cover Band.
