back in 1997/1998, I was in an after-school class for kids who were into computers, and the teacher showed us how to make a homepage on Angelfire, the less popular competitor to Geocities. while Geocities went through a tumultuous affair being owned by Yahoo! before finally being shut down and wiped out, Angelfire was passed around in obscurity through companies in other countries – along the way, the content remained accessible, and, despite decades of inactivity, as of December 2025 my website still lives at its original domain:

I chose “co” because it’s the first two letters of my name; “vardiak”, a nonsense word I made up on the spot, became my go-to screenname for years to come
