March 3 2019 – Martha Stax music video shoot
Held at the since-abandoned Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie #3256 on SE Hawthorne Blvd, this was a music video shoot for Martha Stax‘s Your Style (seen above).
DJ Papi Fimbres played music to get a dance party going for the video, with these instructions for attendees:
This video is all about everyone feelin’ themselves and their own style however they want with no judgements and no anxieties. We want to create an environment where we build each other up and encourage one another no matter what!
One of the pictures I took at this event won “Judges’ Favorite” in the Willamette Week’s My Own Private Portland photo competition.
Judges’ comments: This photo felt very Portland, or at least what we think of as Portland. Full of these sort of hidden little crazy worlds.
